With this movie, this was the hardest tonal challenge we've ever had. I kept laughing with nicholas. I would tell him, you know, hey, i threw it's a madmad, mad world. And laurs von triers,. You know, melancholia in a saucepan. Make that sauce come together. The break through for the entire movie was one day we were just talking about how it's kind of a ludicrous, farcical comedy for then it's also quite dark, with real shadowy tones to it. It's like lina rotea on the hindemburg."
