Can Dirty Tape Cause Infections in Children's Hospitals?

There are some case reports in the literature specifically in children's hospitals in Texas and in Michigan where infections to NICU babies and teenagers with leukemia were directly traced to dirty tape. The other option would be obviously to dedicate a role of tape for each patient just like we dedicate a vial of medicine for each patient We don't reuse vials I'm imagining that institutions aren't that excited about that because obviously that would raise cost quite a lot.
