When he was nine years old, Mark Watney decided to try and launch a rocket into the eye of a hurricane. He thought it would be impossible but then realised that hurricanes can rip rockets apart with 100mph winds. The atmosphere on mars is only one hundredth as strong as earth's so there isn't much air for such an ambitious mission. But mark watney still managed to take off from Cape Canaveral in his first ever space-launch attempt.
How far back in the universe’s timeline can the JWST see? Neil deGrasse Tyson and co-hosts Chuck Nice and Gary O’Reilly explore the Coriolis Effect, hurricanes, the gridiron timeline of the universe, the physics of spinning objects, and much more!
