I want to say two more things before we close and I'll give you the last word. The idea of a libertarian is someone who thinks that human beings for the most part are capable of creating institutions of cooperation that are not coercive. We spend too much of our time criticizing the state, rather than celebrating people.

Civilization and the pleasantness of everyday life depend on unwritten rules. Early in the 20th century, an English mathematician and government official, Lord Moulton, described complying with these rules as "obedience to the unenforceable"--the area of personal choice that falls between illegal acts and complete freedom.
