How to Have a Conversation With Comics

You don't realize you're having a conversation with the audience. You have to say the thing and then give them a break as if they will be able to talk back But instead it's like they just had you giving them a break. They feel the same way anyone feels in a one-sided conversation. Even though your jokes could be good if the audience has the sense that you're just robotically Belting out gags, they're not gonna like you as much as if there are two people talking at once.
