In 1960 worldwide, there were 5.2 babies born per woman; in 2018, that's 2.4. The fertility rate has also dropped by 50% in the same time period. But it doesn't have to go to zero to cause an end of conception, because there's a difference between the mean and the median. And I don't see anything that's going to change that.
