Is Islam a Multicultural Religion?

Islam is a 1400 year old tradition and religion that has masters throughout time all over the world. Only 20% of the Muslims in the world are Arab. There's been Muslims in China from the very beginning of Islam. Each one of those places has their own cultural expression of Islam. I think most people think about Islam only as the perspective that Europe has had, which is that Islam is the biggest and most challenging alternative to the European view of life.
