Shanghai Surprise: A Movie About Love and Hate
Madonna and Sean are still fighting. But the fights are way less fun than they used to be. Their marriage is already falling apart. So they decide to make a movie, or more precisely, to co-star in one. It's called Shanghai Surprise. In this movie, Madonna's playing a prim missionary nurse. Her character travels to China in the 1930s and falls for a con man played by Sean.
