Is Stage Fright for Performers Any Different Than the Fear of Public Speaking?

Most of what i know about stage fright comes from the song by the band called stage fright. It's fear of performing coupled with a great need to perform. And i think that's different than the fear of public speaking, but i think it drives a lot of people. Yes, spotlight effect is, i'm sure operationall here. When i first learnt about the tue social stress test, i was like, i would love to do that to that sons sofu  - reddy. So you're not the person to give advice to, ethan, is what you're saying?
