The Trial of John Hankly

While confined to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Washington, D.C., John Hinkley was treated for narcissistic and schizo-typal personality disorder as well as major depressive disorder. In July of 2016, after years of legal battles, a federal judge ruled that he could be released from the hospital on the grounds that he was no longer considered a threat to himself for others. But with many conditions such as not owning any memorabilia related to Jody Foster or visiting past presidents' graves, his early release also included some rather unusual stipulations. Yet in late 2020, this ruling was quashed and John was free to start his own YouTube channel under the name 'John Hinkley'
