The Buddha was awakened at 35 age 35 he spent seven weeks just hanging out around the Bodhi tree contemplating different aspects of the awakening. He then spent the next 45 years wandering northern India teaching and helping helping beings so I think in knowing this and knowing that this is part of this stage of the great awakening can we bring this perspective to times of struggle? The four noble truths are not theoretical you know it's what the Buddha is describing okay this is a situation of some suffering what is it what are its causesYou know what are we holding on to what are we pushing away what are we not seeing?"
