The Rich Have Gotten Richer, Right?
When we say something like real wages, it means wages adjusted for inflation. Mansa Musa's wealth was almost 800 million times the then average person. By contrast, Jeff Bezos' worth is only 10 million times the average person's income. This makes a rather compelling argument that even when you're comparing the richest of the rich to the rest of us,. And it's becoming increasingly more equitable over the centuries.
