Existential Risk Is More Important Than Maximisand Groth

The scope for humans and our galaxy is not for billions or tens of millions of years. So existential risk does not in the calculations across this two dimensions. The living standards ers the chance of not even gettingi there. My best guess, as i argueit more detail in my standford talk, is human, human civilization, maybe we're here for another 800 years. And in the meantime we want to grow. But there's no immense and crediable prize at the end of the tunnel where we just stick around for a billion years. We're too stupid and irrational and mean and self destructive.
