What Is the Point of the Alchemist?

Celio quelio studied alchemy, and i think he is interested in a this kind of alchemy. I think that's why he uses this in his story. Because it's kind of a way to make an adventure story that also has a spiritual meaning. The deepest message of the book is that this is our journey, all of us. We're living to find the spiritual, to find god or whatever word you want to use.
