MacArthur's Response to Pearl Harbor Attack
General Douglas MacArthur was head of US Army Forces in the Far East. In 1932, he personally led military soldiers against bonus army marchers on Washington streets. Several veterans who marched against him were killed; 11-week-old baby believed to have died from effects of tear gas.
