I love variations of women, they don't necessarily need to be nice. My whole joy and excitement was making what could be on page a beast of a character into something that you could feel sympathetic for. How do you hook people? Even if you're doing the most awful things? Same with Midsomer. She's not an unlikable character but she certainly doesn't have a voice for the majority of the movie. And then even at the end when something unimaginable is happening, you're still so happy for her. I think I love the character that I'm playing, having really punchy voices.
