The Impossible Ideal of Effective Teaching

Teaching is a really tough and it's, it's also very gendered and racialized as well that that stereotype. I try to avoid even good teaching, excellent teaching, and definitely avoid stuff like super teachers are like the very best because I think those words can trigger that impossible ideal. When I say effective teaching, and we can have a long discussion about what that means, but you're helping students learn how to do something better. Absolutely. That the only, that the only good teaching is phenomenal life changing. Like incredible, excellent teaching.
