What Is Piracy and How Does It Affect Our Revenues?
In many ways piracy represented this first kind of iteration of this unbundling that we're now seeing right you know, and you could stream a song without having to pay for the whole album. And I think it was in many ways a driving force for what we're seeing now where, you know, folks said, okay, well I prefer to just consume that piece of content. So then streaming and these other platforms came in and basically started offering that right people were willing to pay in order to watch library content that these studios of these companies didn't necessarily value so much. It's not that streaming is super lucrative compared to what they used to make on DVDs but there is still a loss
