The Son of Man Is Lord of the Sabbath

Jesus says something greater than the temple is here. He's referring not just to himself as we'll see as we go on to the gospel. In one sense he's referring to the fact that human beings are greater than the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. And then of course, Jesus levels this famous line. For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.
