Is Russia Taking Over the Arctic?

The arctic is the same problem they have with every single other route to the sea that they have. It can be blocked by the united states on one hand, by europe on the other hand too. There's no real good way for them to use the arctic the other direction. I don't know how russia continues to balance all these weaknesses. But i would argue that as a route, it is much more open than the real constraints that they've had in places like the baltic or the black sea a and their very narrow pacific coast.
