We're Living Through a Slow Moment of Change

Professor Joshua Isaman: The work of democratic change is slow. We shouldn't, as you say, expect change overnight. Democracies are not built overnight. And who knows if China will ever have a democracy in the way we think about democracy. But change does occur. That's the rule of history and change is often happening at a level we don't recognize until something big happens.
