Preaching the Word of God - How Do You Preach?
If you're a herald and the king says, go warn the people that if they continue down this road, there is disaster. Thus saith the lord. That's acting, of course, but that means you're a thespian, not a herald. Why don't we do that when we preach? God made us to be able to use our full bodies, our emotions, et cetera, to just whatever the emotion is. And so one way to structure your sermons vod with truth, goodness and beauty, is to use what i call the narrative arc. Aristotle calls it the three act structure of beginning, middle and end.
