The Death of Little Wolf

The great medicine may have directed Kuster to his death as punishment for having broken his promise to the Cheyenne's. One night Little Wolf got a bottle of whiskey and right away he drank all of it. He went into the Fort Traders store and leaned forward upon the counter. Not long afterward the door was opened and Little Wolf stumbled into the room, leveled,. a rifle, and fired. Famished elk sank down dead upon the floor.
