Arou, Are Binary Star Systems Unstable?

We're talking about when stars collide, not the ones here on earth that make movies. Collisions are rare in our neighborhood but they happen a lot in other places in the galaxy. When planets orbit a star or two black holes orbit each other, they are emitting gravitational waves. Any acceleration of an object emits gravitational waves.
