The Importance of Iconography in Games

The metaphor of a key in the lock is strong enough that you can use iconography to communicate something now if the game also makes sense to have uh the actual like old school looking key on the chain and an actual lock over the top of say treasure chest. If we just showed like weird ambiguous box with retinal scan icon you're going like I don't know like oh those open so it's about how these things are working together  and then realize sometimes you're just not going to be able to figure it out either.
