Euclid's Methodology

Euclid unlike other mathematicians never steps out of the text and gives us a statement about what he's doing. He's lucky to have that with for instance Archimedes, Apollonius to some extent but the authorial voice of Euclid is completely absent. Some scholars think that there was no Euclid. Oh he's like Homer. It's like Homer yeah.
