The computer said that black holes could happen. And so between the computer simulations and the very dense stars found by radio telescopes, some physicists were pretty sure that black holes were out there. But they were calling them complete collapsed objects. Not everyone was on board. John mitchell, a different guy named john, the physicist, john wheeler helped change the name in the late sixties. Someone suggested black holes, and he liked it, and everybody started nosing it. So by 19 70, black holes finally had their new name.
