When you say model, you mean something that can be used for prediction in the future. So we build these physical models to let you imagine the future and imagine behaviors. We now today they all build Mount models of houses in a computer. It allows me to say, what would this thing look like if it was in this orientation? What would likely happen if I pushed this button? Or how would I accomplish something? The brain is doing something remarkably similar to this.
