How to Get a Social Media App to Critical Masses

Twitter is a social media app to critical masses not the first time somebody is tried right so you have to get the right influencers and create essentially what is uh... called network effect. does that look like jack i mean i've been using twitter since two thousand eleven how do you get a social mediaapp to critical masses?  i think with threads that zucker berg is just kind of throwing it out there and say hey we're the anti twitter, he says.
