Schleiser Pepen and the Reichstag

The Nazis won nearly 14 million votes, giving them twice as many Reichstag seats as the next largest party. Hitler went to Schleiser and Hindenburg demanding the chancellorship and a new Nazi-dominated cabinet. In exchange for Hitler's support of Pepen's government, Schleiser promised that the essay would be permitted to operate. The results of these July 1932 elections was another gain for the Nazis.
