Is the January 6th Committee Making Criminal Referrals?
Priet: The January 6th committee seems likely to be making criminal referrals. What weight are those referrals likely to carry with the DOJ investigation relative to the findings and recommendations of the special counsel? Priet: I don't see what effect a criminal referral from the committee would have on an ongoing, open, widely acknowledged investigation. "I think that the committee for its part is making a symbolic referral," she says.
