The Distinction Between Art and Science

David Frum: We might think of Einstein as original, but maybe we're not using it in the way that you are or that Kant is. He says a genius produces something that goes beyond what we currently understand. And he thinks that that cannot happen in science. Frum: You know, you can be taught to be scientific, but you cannot be teaching to be a great artist because science ultimately does not require originality. Only art does.
