The Three Wheels of a Trebuchet
Fabian could leave the item out in the street for my mum to trip over and then she'll put it away for you. You can buy those little trolleys with three wheels that have the right height for stairs. That is an actual realistic option, if you're strong enough to pull it up and not draw it on anyone. The final option is probably the most realistic, which is just, uh, Fabian could leaving the item out of his car window so he doesn't get caught by a passing motorist or something like that. He's got some very real options out there.
