Apple is in the App Store are going to require developers to describe why their apps use certain APIs. The company explains that the measure aims to crack down on fingerprinting a technique for tracking users across different apps and websites. This broke just a couple of days ago. I don't think it was breaking news. I think they said this at WWDC, but nobody noticed because it was one of those sessions that's boring and nobody looks at. And it seemed to come out of nowhere.
