Is There a Place for Aggression?
There were, none the less, people who felt anger was a natural and useful tool. I think it's a natural thought to think that there is a place for aggression as some kind of utility. Now, from the perspective of these texts, anger will never be the most efficacious impetus in a given response. So whatever it is that anger or aggression promises to do for us, chanty dava insists that anger's a deceiver. It misguides us. It misleads us. And in fact, compassion is better suted to the job.
