Were Were Being Forced to Toe the Line?
Labour and Liberal were fighting against the gay marriage law. Penny Wong who was a lesbian actively or at least not actively voicing her support for this thing. She was effectively being forced to toe the line. And that's just that inevitable consequence of what is effectively a two party system. There are minor parties, but they are never going to be in a position of forming a government. They may end up supporting a minority government then. But that just comes down to the individuals involved in what they're going to choose to do.
