The Disintegration of the Orient
The social order is an order based on human values, not natural values. Men can decide what human ends are and invent means to achieve these ends. This adds a dynamic creative principle to the social order. The only way you can really change the Orient is by shooting the one there before you. There is no development of this institutional life.
