Jesus' Authority Comes Out of His Inner Essence
The Sermon on the Mount is Jesus' interpretation of the Bible. The crowds were amazed at his teaching because he taught who as one who had what? Authority and not as their teachers of the law. Many of the great luminaries of human history had little to no structural authority. Gandhi, Mandela in the beginning, Martin Luther, Harriet Beecher Stowe just bore witness to reality.
