The Problem With Using an Algorithm as a Problem Solving Technique

An algorithm is a problem-solving technique that is guaranteed to find a solution or prove it can't be found. An algorithm's work in terms of certainty. Ask yourself, how much of the problem space do you have to search? You use an algorithm when you are pursuing certainty. If I try and be algorithmically certain in all of my processing, if I'm trying to get over to the cup, combinatorial explosive space opens up and I can't get there.
