Comparative Comparative Methodology in Southeast Asia

Southeast asia's particular context and the history doesn't lend well to doing standard, controlled comparisons across sights. So i decided to have them span chronologically. I was hoping to convey that this is a long process for each colony, but also across the region that spans at least a half century. And then there is also layering, in the sense of building upon existingex nations of what we might conventionally expect for reasons that anti opium reforms are occurring.
