The Overcoming Narrative of Disability

The overcoming narrative is written about so much in disability studies. Most cultural projects about disability, including TV shows and movies and memoirs are about white people. I argue that this is the logic of settler colonialism because it's white people reenacting a narrative of entitlement to life and public and cultural space.
