How to Be a Socially Anxious Extrovert
Are there more introverts that deal with social anxiety? That's one question. The other question is, where does this begin? Like how do we get wired to be socially anxious? Is it genetic? What's happening in our brains? Is it based on a trauma from childhood? Did we have a parent that made us uncomfortable? Where is this coming from? Yeah, those are all great questions. So here I will start at the beginning there. We often think of extroverts as people who've never met a stranger who will chat with anyone. At the same time, though, extroversion is about social stimulation and energy.
