Sea turtle sex is determined by the temperature at which the egg incubates so warmer temperatures produce female turtles. So why do you think from an evolutionary standpoint that tends to happen, that warmer temperatures will incubate female eggs? I'm going to get asked this question a lot and I don't have a good answer for you. There's been a lot of people looking into the evolutionary benefits of this, but I don't think there's ever been like a really good answer.
