The only long term effect they were able to document with these children was that the drugs stunped the kid's growth. The criteria for diagnosis v dh d are hopelessly subjective and context dependent. Well, i have some anecdotes in my book of parents who were pressured to put their kids on the drugs, but they didn't actually give them the drugs. Or conversely, there was a parent who took her child off the drugs, and the teacher didn't notice anything. Then she told the teacher that she had taken him off the drugs,. and suddenly she got a flood of complaints about the boy's behavior.
