Shared Banking Hubs - What Are They?
About 40% of all bank branches have closed in the last five years. Many towns, particularly smaller towns, are now down to one last branch. The reason what is happening is more and more people are going digital. So we've announced 25 new banking hubs this year. We're setting them up now. This is all being funded completely by the banks. And the legislation that might refer to will make this a legal requirement for the banks. But actually we are doing some very practical things to solve this.
