The Secret Sauce of DBT - Data Sources
The secret sauce of dbt is the DAG at the core. In our release, we made maybe a month and a half ago, maybe six weeks ago, we introduced the notion of data sources into dbt. The other killer feature that I think is currently under utilized is that you can specify the loaded at timestamp for the source data tables. And then use the dbt source snapshot freshness command to understand if your data is recent within acceptable SLAs.
