The State's Push to Make San Francisco Affordable
I think we are at a place where we can finally do it especially because of the state pushing us in that direction. I have tried to bring a ballot measure to voters at least on almost four occasions and the last time there was a competing measure and they both failed. The fact is it doesn't stop us from trying. There are all these different laws and restrictions. These things have happened over time. They developed over time. It wasn't as if all of a sudden one day it was impossible to build housing. And I think we're in a better place now than we've ever been before.
