My Dad Was a Policeman, My Mom a Democrat, My Uncle a Republican
I think the journey from policemen to politicians took a little more time, about 150 years. The rest of the family was wise enough to stay out of politics. So my dad dabbled in two elections and that led to a divorce at a very early age. Ran for County Supervisor. Ron Pelosi was in that race and made it to the board and my father fell short. They technically were and that's a whole. There's two sides of that story.
