Play Review: Roe vs Wade
It's a really impactful play and it is thought provoking on every level. It gets to the heart of identity politics partly because all the identities in the play are represented but they are all swapped. I came with an American friend who was over from New York and we were both just completely gripped. He was like oh my god this just couldn't be more relevant and challenging right now. Like Roe vs. Wade was safely with us in 2020 and it's now not with us at all. There are currently girls in America dying from home done badly botched abortions so it has become so much more relevant.
