Is There a Danger of a Far-Right Movement Gaining Traction?
I think we've seen this happen time and time again, not just in the UK, as you've said, also in historical context. And it seems to be this issue of protecting children, protecting women is sort of used as the basis for racism and bigotry and xenophobia. How much do you think there's a danger of far-right elements gaining genuine traction amongst certain working-class communities? Is there a failure on the left and the labour movement to organise properly in those communities to offer a counterweight? I don't know if I necessarily believe that... people who attend a far-right protest can be persuaded to think otherwise if we had ... a stronger left-wing movement.
